Get the latest information on eight-alarm fire
Overland Park is posting the latest information related to the March 20 eight-alarm fire that damaged several buildings at CityPlace and nearby homes.
Tuesday afternoon, city building officials provided to the media and public, via opkansas.org, a 136-page document with all building permits, inspection reports and plan review letters for CityPlace issued before the fire.
The two buildings under construction at CityPlace and destroyed were in compliance with building codes at the time of the fire.
Other data on the webpage includes roofing material type on homes in the adjacent neighborhood.
Three city employees have been serving as case managers for affected residents whose homes were either damaged or destroyed. Many of those have been in contact with their insurance companies.
