Fatality accident on Lowell being investigated

Updated February 16, 2017 - The- driver of the vehicle involved in the one car collision that occurred in the 15300 block of Lowell has been identified as Deborah L. Hayes (W/F 11/27/57) of Overland Park. This incident is still an ongoing investigation.

February 15, 2017 - Overland Park Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating a fatality accident that occurred in the 15300 Block of Lowell at approximately 7:20 pm tonight. A 59 year old female was driving northbound on Lowell, left the roadway and collided with a tree. The single occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the occupant is not being released at this time. The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
