Accidental Shooting in Overland Park

On March 4^th, 2016, just before 2:00 P.M. the Overland Park Police Department responded to a business in the 8200 block of W 119^th Street regarding a firearms complaint. When officers arrived they learned an adult male had accidentally discharged his own firearm, which struck his leg. Officers provided immediate medical treatment to stabilize the male until MedAct arrived on scene. No other injuries were reported from witnesses on scene.

MedAct later transported the male to an area hospital in critical condition. No further information is available to release at this time.
