95th Street, I-35 interchange to close

Motorists who use the I-35 and 95th Street interchangeneed to find an alternate route beginning late Feb. 21.
The interchange will close for six month on Feb. 21 and reopen in mid-August, weather permitting. Construction crews are rebuilding the interchange into a diverging diamond configuration, similar to the design at the Roe Avenue and I-435. All ramps at 95th Street and from I-35 will be closed, as well as 95th Street from Noland Road east to Monrovia Street.
After the interchange reopens in August, there may still be temporary closures as finishing work is done through November.
This reconstruction work is part of the Kansas Department of Transportation's Johnson County Gateway Phase 2 Project to improve the I-435/I-35/K-10 interchange.
