Pedestrian struck by motorcycle passes away

On September 6, 2015, around 10:50 PM, Overland Park Police responded to an injury accident that occurred in the westbound lanes of 119th Street, just east of Glenwood.

The driver of a motorcycle was traveling westbound on 119th Street when he struck a female pedestrian who was attempting to cross in the middle of the roadway.

The 83 year-old female was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries and has since passed away early this morning. The driver of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The Overland Park Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the accident.
