(Monday, August 31) Overland Park Police were dispatched on an armed robbery at approximately 1954 hours in the parking lot near the Food Court of Oak Park Mall at 11149 W. 95th St. The actual robbery occurred about 15 minutes prior to the victim calling police.
The victim and suspect entered a tan or gold four door, possibly a Ford Taurus. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect confronted the victim with a black revolver and demanded cash and a cell phone. The victim exited the suspect vehicle after being robbed. The suspect vehicle left eastbound on 95th St. The suspect vehicle was occupied by at least two other males (unknown race).
The suspect was described as a black male, 20-24 years of age, 6’0”, 160-170 pounds, with a light beard. The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt with unknown graphics on it and blue jeans.
There were no descriptions for the other two occupants of the suspect vehicle. There were no injuries from the incident.
