(Overland Park, KS - August 1, 2015) This afternoon at about 3:55pm, Overland Park Police responded to a single-family residence in the 7300 block of Metcalf Avenue in reference to a stabbing. The male called and reported to police dispatchers that he was stabbed by a female at the residence. Upon arrival, officers located a man in his late 20’s inside the home suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported by Johnson County Med-Act to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where he is currently in surgery. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
A female in her mid 20’s was taken into custody at the scene and was taken to the Johnson County Adult Detention Center in Olathe, KS. This investigation is on-going.
