Overland Park, KS - Construction crews will close a major roadway at 9 a.m. Friday, July 31, to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, for needed repairs.

Repairs at the intersection of 103rd St. and Nall are necessary because the subgrade below the street surface is worn out due to years of traffic with more than 32,000 vehicles passing through the intersection each day.

Westbound traffic will be rerouted at Roe Ave., where 103rd St. will be closed. Local traffic between Roe and Nall must use side streets.

Access east of Lamar is available only to local traffic. The intersection of 103rd and Nall will be completely inaccessible to all traffic during this work.

An alternate route for north and southbound traffic on Nall is College, Metcalf and 95th St.; for east and westbound use Mission, 95th and Metcalf.

Crews hope to have the intersection and 103rd St. open before 7 p.m. Sunday, weather permitting.

The repairs are part of a $2.25 million project to resurface 103rd St. from Metcalf east to Mission. Work is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.
