Mom, dad, grandma or grandpa, bring the kids to this family fishing tournament for a great time and memories.

From 8 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at theDeanna Rose Children's Farmstead fishing pond is theFarmstead Fishing Tournament.

Teams will fish with old-fashioned cane poles and a bucket of worms provided by the Farmstead. Farmstead staff members will be on hand to help with those icky, squiggly night crawlers.

Each team, which consists of two people, receives two gift bags including a child-size tackle box. Trophies are awarded to first through third place in the following categories:

Grandparent and grandchild
Parent and child
Siblings

Session 1 check-in begins at 8 a.m. with fishing starting at 8:30 a.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 9:45 p.m.

Session 2 check-in is at 9 a.m., fishing begins at 9:30 a.m. and the awards ceremony is at 10:45 a.m. Register your team today. Cost is $30 for a team of two.
