The Overland Park, Kansas Police Department conducted a Distracted Driving S.T.E.P. (Special Traffic Enforcement Program) Campaign from April 18th through April 27th. The campaign was conducted with the principle focus on distracted driving/texting violations. Officers also looked for seatbelt violations, child passenger seat violations, and speeding violations in an effort to reduce auto accidents and injuries.
