Mayor orders city flags lowered to honor victims of Sunday's shooting

Overland Park, KS - Mayor Carl Gerlach is asking Overland Park residents and businesses to lower their flags to half mast until Saturday to honor the victims of Sunday's shooting.

"The loss of life is always tragic. To honor the innocent who lost their lives Sunday, I am asking the community to show its support and compassion to family members and friends of the victims by lowering their flags," said Mayor Gerlach.

Three victims were killed Sunday afternoon. They are Dr. William Lewis Corporon, 69, Overland Park; his grandson Reat Griffin Underwood, 14, Stilwell; and Teresa Rose Lamanno, 53, Kansas City, Mo.
