Tree Seedling Giveaway

The annual Arbor Day tree seedling giveaway is Saturday, April 5.

From 9 a.m. to noon at the Matt Ross and Tomahawk Ridge community centers and the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, free tree and shrub seedlings will be available for residents.

There is a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees and a few shrubs for those without space for a new tree. Tree varieties include baldcypress, lacebark elm, bur oak, black gum and more.

The seedling giveaway is sponsored by the Legacy of Greenery Committee and the city.
