Safely dispose of medication for free

City of Overland Park
If you have unwanted, unneeded or outdated medication, you can safely dispose of it for free.
As part of the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Take-Back Initiative, the Overland Park Police Department is sponsoring a day for anyone to properly get rid of medication.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at seven local locations, you may drop off your items. More than 750 pounds of unwanted medication has been turned over at each of the past several drop offs. This prevents medication from being dumped in a landfill and threatening the environment.
The locations in Overland Park include:
- W. Jack Sanders Justice Center, 12400 Foster
- Myron E. Scafe Building, 8500 Antioch
- Price Chopper, 7000 W. 75th Street
- Price Chopper,7418 W. 119th Street
