Stabbing at Overland Park Arboretum

On March 13, 2014 at approximately 2:24 pm Overland Park Officers responded to a reported stabbing that occurred at the Overland Park Arboretum. Officers arrived and learned from the victim that a disturbance took place between the victim and his adult son. During this disturbance the victim was stabbed several times. The suspect then fled on foot.

A search was conduct with the help of area agencies. The suspect was apprehended in the area of 194^th Street and Flint a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to an area hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time; however, he was alert and conscious at the time of transport.
