Library features February Papercuts arts exhibitions

During February the Johnson County Library is featuring unique Papercuts art exhibits at the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St., Overland Park, and the Leawood Pioneer Neighborhood Library, 4700 Town Center Dr, Leawood. The exhibits are in partnership with P&M Artworks and include the works of internationally and regionally known artists working in the medium of paper and books.

A benefit reception and auction of the exhibited artworks will be hosted by the Johnson County Library Foundation on Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Leawood City Hall Community Center, 4800 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS. Established in 1998, the Johnson County Library Foundation's mission is to build an endowment for the Library's collection and secure support for life-long learning programs offered at Johnson County Library. Funds have been provided for 6by6 Ready to Read Early Literacy, Homework Help, Tutor.com, Legacies of the Civil War, civic engagement programming, Changing Lives through Literature, Court Assisted Reading Encouragement (CARE) and the purchase of library materials.
