Time to renew your pet's license

Overland Park, KS - Get a jump start on registering Fido or Fluffy.

The fee to license your pet is $20, but only $10 if your pet is spayed or neutered.
All dogs and cats within Overland Park are required to be licensed to ensure that each pet has been properly vaccinated against rabies, helping to prevent the spread of the disease to other pets and exposure to anyone who may be bitten.
Further, lost licensed pets help either residents or Animal Control officers find the proper owner for that desired homecoming.
Last year, about 15,500 dogs and cats were registered with the city.
At the time of licensing, please provide a certificate from your veterinarian showing that your pet has an unexpired rabies vaccination. The certificate must be included with your license fee.
License fees are due upon receipt. Penalty fees are charged for renewals received on or after July 1. Penalty fees are $20 per animal and in addition to the required license fee.
There are several ways to license your pet including by U.S. postal mail, online or in person.
